Download Full Version (51MB exe)

Download Update (5MB zip) (from 2.4k or 2.4l to 2.4m)
unzip it to \ut2004\deathball\

Gameplay:
-Rolling ball lag fixed (Couldn't reproduce it until now)
-Reduced Backspin power
-Max ball speed reduced from 116 to 111 km/h
-The hammer hit cone has been increased from 60° to 70° (makes volley timing a little easier for noobs people with high or unstable pings)

Other:
-Name of BananaUp changed to Backspin, BananaDown changed to Topspin
-Changed default keys for Topspin and Backspin to Wheelup (Top) and wheeldown (Back)
-Default chat channel changed from #dbpickup to #deathball. Pickups now happen in #deathball.
-Shortreset with replays now works. A very quick replay and the waiting time after the goal is only 7 seconds.

Maps:
-November: Fixed missing ball reset

Bugs:
-Due to the fixes made to the ball, replays are a bit laggy and twitchy
-Due to the fixes made to the ball, there are no post sounds right now
-Sometimes you see no ball in replays, when it was scored from the ballspawn
-Shortreset replay only works when server has endgame replays enabled

Servers Updated:
TV1, TV2, DBL1, DBL2, DBL3

So you haven't removed low self-volley power then? May I ask why? Did you forget?

Good to see the ball lag problem is gone. That produced some stupid goals in mixers. xD

Any chance of a full version in zip form?

Because having it in #deathball makes more sense, and it's easier instead of having 2 channels.
But the main reason is how players are being treaten in dbpickup. Some can ruin as many matches as they want and nothing happens. Other's get banned because the OP doesn't like him for something else he did in some other room or other suspicious reasons.

#deathball was dead, there were never two channels. The only suspicious op would of been you, but I believe that problem was addressed when you lost ops. Oh wait, now I see why its being moved to #deathball \o/

Your edit option is STILL screwed.

Left and Right banana are still absolutely useless (when used on their own) and have been since they were changed. Change it back!
Backspin was a lot better when it actually went upwards. Now its just a normal left mouse button charge shot with the different surface collision reactions. Non keeper volley radius seems huge, dont understand why people can volley through people or hit balls 10 miles in front of them. (Over exaggerated but point made)

I've just downloaded it. The last version i played was 2.4d or something like that, basically i've been away for at least 8 month and... WOW , all i can say i would like to have more free time to play, but congratulation to TEam Vortex for the great Job. I only tried the BotMatch but i've seen emprovements everywhere. Starting from the menù, better graphic and much faster to use, to the game... I've tried the new SMallcube SE, great Job David. With the UT Skins, that map gives a real Future Sport look to the game. It reminds to SpeedBall and this can only be helpful if you are looking for a commercial version of Deathball. The gameplay control is great, the new way you can bounce the ball and pull it keeping the ALT FIRE pressed is absolutely amazing and it gives so many possibilities to be creative... It seems perfectly belanced and i wish you and Team Vortex to find a commercial Way soon. I've only noticed something weird with the banana shots, becouse they weren't curle that much and when they bounced on the wall, they were getting the opposite way i was used to... But this is probably a part of the new features. Anyway... Great Job... Hope to see you soon on #deathball. Bye all
